Apple offers a free backup service called iCloud. When your iPad is plugged into an AC outlet and is connected to the Internet, your data will automatically be backed up. To take advantage of this service, configure your iPad so that the iCloud Backup and FormConnect app setting are both turned ON.
To restore lost data, select the option “Erase all Content and Settings”. This will remove all content from your iPad and install a brand new operating system. When the install is complete, you will be prompted to restore your data from a previous backup.
