Backing Up Your Form Templates

A backup procedure that many of our customers use is to save their filled out forms as PDF documents and export them to a file hosting service such as Dropbox, Box, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.

The problem that many people forget about is that they have not backed up the original form template that they created using the FormConnect or FormConnect Pro app. The reason why this form template needs to be backed up is because if the form gets damaged or deleted or your iPad gets stolen, you need to have a backup copy of this form to restore from. You cannot import the PDF document. The form must be saved in the “FMC” file format as this is the only format that the FormConnect app will recognize when re-importing the form back into the application.
