V1.7.9.6 of the FormConnect and FormConnect Pro apps have been released to the App Store. The primary feature of this update is compatibility with iOS 11. If you don’t plan on upgrading to iOS 11 right away, then there is no reason to upgrade and you should probably stay on V1.7.9.5.
FYI – Every year Apple releases a new version of iOS and software developers scramble to make their apps compatible with the new operating system. It’s a normal process that every app developer goes through and it wouldn’t surprise us if you discover some bug with the new version of FormConnect app running iOS 11. Sometimes it’s Apple’s fault and sometimes it’s ours. We do our best to fix these bugs just as soon as they are reported but it happens every year so if you discover a bug, please contact us via phone or email and let us know what the issue is and we will do our best to resolve it.
One other thing..
Back up your forms and records before upgrading. You never know when something might go awry and it’s comforting to know that you have a backup if something should go wrong.
