FormConnect – 2013 in Review

2013 was an exciting year with many new features added to the FormConnect products.  Below are the highlights:

  • Text Formatting – Support for bolding, italicizing, color and three font types (arial, time roman and courier) to choose from.
  • Field Alignment – Support for left, right and center justification of field content.
  • Default Font Size Setting – The ability to change the default font size.
  • Field Calculations (Pro version) – Added a new text field type that allows you to create formulas to calculate the value between two or more fields.
  • Auto Save – Automatically saves a record when you move between pages.
  • Lines – Added a new a field type that allows you to create horizontal and vertical lines, choose the style (solid, dotted or dashed) and specify the thickness of the line.
  • GPS Location Settings (Pro version) – Added a new field type called “Location” that automatically inputs the GPS location into a field.  The GPS setting can be displayed in one of three formats: Decimal Degrees; Degrees, minutes, seconds; and Degrees, decimal minutes.
  • Kiosk Mode (Pro version) – A data entry mode that hides the menu bar and only displays the Submit, Clear and Kiosk icons. When in kiosk mode, records will not be visible.  This is to prevent customers or patients from being able to view another person’s record.
  • Updated Themes – Updated themes that are iOS 7 compatible.

 

 

 

2013 in review:

  • Field Calculations – A new text field type (Calculation) that allows you to create formulas to calculate fields calculate the value between two or more fields.  This will be helpful when creating invoices, timecards, sales orders, etc.   The formula bar support the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and uses the following computation symbols: (+ – * /).
