A technique many FormConnect customers have incorporated is to organize their forms by year. At the end of each year, they clone their existing form and name it “form name 2020”, “form name 2021”, etc. The purpose for doing this is to reduce the number of records you have in any one form database making it easier to navigate and also it’s a good way to compare performance on a year by year comparison.
For those that are not familiar with cloning a form, you can invoke this option by tapping on the blue gear button in the lower right corner of the the iPad or iPhone, then tap on “Edit Form”, select the form you wish to edit and a pop-up menu will display on the screen. Select “Clone” and a duplicate copy of the form will be created. The name of the form will be the same name with a number “2” appended to the name. You can then repeat the process again but instead of cloning this new form, you will rename it to “form name 2020.”
