Some types of forms such as inspections and evaluations entail placing a grade or score next to each item that is to be evaluated. Sometimes these scores are totaled to calculate an overall grade. There are two ways to design a form with scores. One is to place a numeric value into a field next to the subject matter that is being evaluated. The other way is to create a drop down list with the scoring values. Both approaches are effective and it’s the user’s preference as to which approach to use.
