There is a form setting called “Use PDF text boxes” that places a box around each field when you export the form or print it. Some users prefer this formatting and some users do not. You can turn this setting ON or OFF. The default setting is ON. Below are examples of what the form looks like with the text box setting turned ON and turned OFF.
