I use a laptop and an iPad every day and I’ve found certain use cases where each device has it’s advantages.
The laptop is my preferred device when I can place it on a desk and sit in front of my office chair. It’s ideally suited for manipulating text as the laptop comes with a mouse and/or track pad and copy and paste are just easier to use.
The iPad is my preferred device when I leave my desk. It’s lighter to tote around than my laptop and I find the touch interface to be easier to interact with when I’m sitting on a couch or standing. I also find using the camera or the pen to be more intuitive. Apps such as the FormConnect app, which I use for filling out forms are much more useful for when I’m traveling.
